As far as possible, each entry in the bibliography contains
the following information:
- Composer.
- Opus number.
- Alternative work classification list number (AWCLN),
e.g. BWV number (Johann Sebastian Bach), K[öchel]
number (Mozart), RV [Ryom] number / PV [Pincherle] number
/ M number / F number (Vivaldi) or Boccherini with G[érard]
number / Bocc. Op. [autographs catalogue of Boccherini
himself] / Pubd. Op. [publisher´s opus number].
Work numbers have been included wherever they are known.
- Date of first performance.
- Duration [approximate].
- Date of composition.
- Title of work.
- Dedicatee.
- Editor / arranger.
- Instrumentation.
- Publisher. (For printed music the plate number,
number in publisher´s catalogue [Ed.No.] are included.
For books the ISBN number, year and place of publication
are included).
- Number of pages.
- Source (information on):
- List of RISM numbers. RISM [Répertoire International
des Sources Musicales = International Inventory of
Musical Sources] is a reference work that lists all
music printed before 1800 and the libraries that have
copies of the work.
- List of libraries, collections, etc., where this
piece can be found.
- Work which can´t be found in manuscript or
in print.
- Type of work.
- Annotations.
- User´s own library. (By marking this field,
you can list works which are in your own library, adding
the appropriate numbers for different editions. In search
mode, you can choose this field to display a complete
list of your own library.
- Repertoire (compare 16 above).
You can list and classify your preferred repertoire as:
- Concert piece.
- Piece for study.
- Piece for pupil / teaching.
- Transcription (marked field indicates a transcribed
piece).
- Order number (not yet functioning).
There are three search modes:
- Simple search.
- Extended search.
- Advanced search
This information found by a search on a year is very extensive.
If you search, for example, on "1920" this will
find all possible information relating to this year: Works
composed, editions published, first performances given,
etc. Many different combination searches are possible in
search mode, depending on the requirements and imagination
of the user.
